The film programme of the 40th DOK.fest München: In the cinema. At home.

Our aim is to make our films as accessible as possible, which is why we are bringing them to the big screen in Munich cinemas and venues - and for the first time also in selected cinemas and venues in Augsburg - as well as to home screens barrier-free throughout Germany: DOK.fest München stays dual!

THE BATTLE FOR LAIKIPIA (Greece, Kenya, United States 2024, Daphne Matziaraki. Co-Director: Peter Murimi). Long-lasting droughts intensify colonial conflicts in Kenya: a consequence of climate change.
THE TREE OF AUTHENTICITY – L’ARBRE DE L’AUTHENTICITÉ (Belgium, Congo (Democratic Republic) 2025, Sammy Baloji). An essay about colonial legacy in DR Congo and what it means for climate policy today.
