The VIKTORIA DOK.international Main Competition is endowed with 10,000 euros. The award is sponsored by Bayerischer Rundfunk. Nominees are films that cover a broad spectrum of content and form and are distinguished by their high artistic quality.
Leonard Cortana
Inclusion Program and Strategic Partnerships Manager at EURODOC & PhD Candidate in Cinema Studies at NYU
Leonard Cortana is Inclusion & Partnerships Manager at EURODOC and a PhD candidate at NYU focusing on social justice films and impact campaigns. A former trainer for various European Commission youth training programs, he teaches Film Studies, directed the short doc MARIELLE'S LEGACY WILL NOT DIE (2019), and supported various advocacy film campaigns. He led a session at Cannes Doc 2024 on Ethical Post-Screening Q&As.
Aleksandra Derewienko
Head of Sales CAT&Docs
Aleksandra Derewienko holds a MA in psychology from Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She also completed postgraduate studies in TV and Film Organization at the National Film School in Lodz, and a MA in Audio-visual Management from the Media Business School in Spain. In 2016, she joined CAT&Docs in sales and acquisition. She has participated in many international festivals and was a member of the pitching panels at Baltic Sea Docs, Visions du Reel, Krakow FF, DMZ Docs or Doc Lisboa among others.
Charlie Phillips
Producer (I Am Charlie Ltd) and Head of Stories (Lyfta)
Charlie Phillips is a documentary producer and commissioner working on short and feature films in production and post. He is former Head of Video at The Guardian, overseeing award-winning docs (Oscar 2021, BAFTA 2022). Currently, he is main programmer for Folkestone Doc Festival; previously Deputy Director at Sheffield Doc/Fest.
