Mirjam Skal

Mirjam Skal (*1996) is a freelance film composer from Zurich, known for blending synthetic textures with orchestral sounds. She studied Composition for Film, Theatre, and Media at the Zurich University of the Arts. Her work spans documentaries, feature films, and TV, using unique instruments like the theremin and hurdy-gurdy. She won the Rolf Hans Müller Prize (2024) for Tatort: Von Affen und Menschen and the German Documentary Film Music Award (2025) for VRACHT.
