Carolina Höfs

Carolina Höfs holds a master and PhD in Social Anthropology. She developed research in Suriname and also in Guinea-Bissau, where she studied traditional art, immigration and ethnic boundaries. For the past years, she engaged with social and advocacy projects among indigenous communities in the Amazonian region and in Brazilian savanna. Over the last 15 years, she created works that put art and anthropology in dialogue, flirting with a transdisciplinary approach that brings together performance, ethnography and sound arts. In cinema, she worked in content research and location production. Tropical Fever is her first film.
