Parsa Ansari

Parsa Ansari, born in 1999 in Tehran, is an Iranian filmmaker. Starting at 16, he graduated from Darolfunun Cinema School's screenwriting program and ranked 4th among 78,000 art students in Iran’s university entrance exam, earning a place at Tehran University of Art. Shifting to documentary filmmaking after Iran's 2022 uprising, Ansari’s The Villain (2024) won Best Documentary at the 70th Regional Youth Cinema Festival, as well as Audience award at Fanoos National Student Festival. Also, he won Best Editing and Audience awards at the 20th Nahal International Student Film Festival and "Young Talent of The Year Award" at 21 Tasvir Film Festival. It was later featured at Oscar qualified Tehran International Short Film Festival, and also at 13th Iran's Independent Documentary Awards. Parsa is an alumni of IDFAcademy 2024.
