Hilarija Locmele

Hilarija Ločmele comes from Jūrmala in Latvia. She discovered her enthusiasm for German television at an early age and subsequently for the German language and culture. She moved to Munich in 2013, where she has been studying documentary film and television journalism at the University of Television and Film (HFF) since 2017. Since 2019, she has also been working for the digital edition of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, where she analyses current world events. With her film DESIRED CHILD she received the Starter Film Award of the City of Munich in 2022, her advertising films have won numerous awards, including gold at the New York Festivals in the USA.
