Seggen Mikael

Seggen Mikael works freelance as a cultural manager, programmer and writer. She designs (film) programs and social media appearances, curates talks and organises projects with a focus on marginalized people. In her independent work as a presenter and curator, she works with Berlinale Generation, DOK Leipzig, and Lux Film Fest, among others, and was part of the Locarno Southern Africa Industry Academy. She also served on the jury for the IDA Documentary Awards the last years and is a member of the Programmers of Colour Collective. Additionally, she is a co-founder of the consultancy collective DisCheck, which evaluates media content through a discrimination-sensitive and intersectional lens
