“I tried to kill myself here,” Gosia says into her phone camera. At 19, she is already an expert in her illness, schizophrenia. She knows that the voices and medicines will probably be with her throughout her life. In spite of this, her activist mother and camera-shy father support their daughter’s attempts at independence. It is a Sisyphean task but Gosia fights for her autonomy. Sara Gómez
Biography
Malgorzata Imielska is a (screenplay) writer and director. She studied at the Faculty of Radio and Television at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She received her first major awards for TELL ME WHY?
